Rachel M. Kawiecki completed undergraduate training at Indiana University in Bloomington, IN, earning Bachelor degrees in Neuroscience and Spanish. She then attended Indiana University School of Medicine for medical training and completed her intern year at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. She remained in Indianapolis for ophthalmology residency with Indiana University. After completing residency training, she joined Ophthalmology Consultants in September 2021. Dr. Kawiecki cares for patients with routine and medical ophthalmic needs and has a special interest in cataract surgery.
In her free time, Dr. Kawiecki enjoys spending time with her husband, Matt, and two children. Her interests include enjoying the outdoors, cooking, crocheting, and attending sporting events.
Everyone we saw, from front desk staff to the techs and Dr. Kawiecki herself were wonderful to work with. Our son was so excited to be at the eye doctor & I am so glad his first appointment was such a positive experience. They were very kid friendly & kept him engaged throughout the appointment.
